Q + A

~~ Getting There ~~

What time should I arrive?

We respectfully ask that guests arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony to allow everyone time to park and find their seats.

What is the address of the wedding ceremony/reception?

Fireseed, 6051 Coles Rd, Langley, WA 98260 https://maps.app.goo.gl/ENiVf71iGew6HxDTA

Is there parking available near the wedding venue?

Yes, there is plenty of parking at the wedding venue. Additionally, it is ok to leave your car here overnight if you would like to take a taxi home.

What are my options if I don't want to drive home?

Unfortunately, Uber and Lift are not always available on the Whidbey Island, so we advise using the local taxi company- All Island Express, 360-341-8294. They operate 24 hours/day.

~~ What To Wear ~~

What is the dress code?

Formal attire. We suggest that men wear a suit in any color and women wear a gown, cocktail dress, or dressy separates. For members of the military, service dress uniform is invited, but not required. For Navy officers who would like to wear their uniform, the standard is choker whites with full-size warfare insignia and medals (no ribbons). O-4 and above may wear Mess Dress, if you must...

Will the wedding be indoor or outdoor?

The ceremony and garden cocktails will be outside and the reception will be inside. In the event of inclement weather, umbrellas will be provided or everything will be moved indoors. We strongly advise against thin stiletto heels as you will have to walk to grass to get to the ceremony.

What type of weather should we expect?

The weather on Whidbey Island in June can be a bit unpredictable, but statistically early summer it stays ~65F. We recommend keeping an eye on the weather leading up to the wedding and keeping a coat, sweater, or shawl with you in case you get cold. Blankets will also be available during the ceremony for anyone who would like one.

~~ On the Day ~~

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Unfortunately, we cannot host any children at our wedding. We appreciate your understanding.

Am I allowed to take photos at the wedding?

We respectfully ask no photos during the ceremony. We would like an "unplugged ceremony" and invite you to be fully present with us by turning off your phones/cameras. We will share images from our professional photographer with those who would like them and photos are welcome during the reception.

Can I post wedding photos on social media?

Yes! Again, we ask for everyone to put their cameras away for the ceremony, but after that feel free to share whatever pictures you take wherever you want.
